"August 29, 2006 was the first day of the best of my life. I lost 120 pounds and I'm a totally new person. Before I was always tired - as an ER nurse, that's not good. I could hardly breathe. I would get sweaty and my heart would pound.

One day I saw a girl I knew who had lost so much weight! I was brave enough to ask her about it. She had gastric bypass surgery at Parkwest Medical Center. We talked and talked. She loved Dr. Boyce and had no problems at all.

I was scared, but willing to change. And change I did! Now I'm much more active. I have energy. I need less sleep. I exercise because I want to. I can spend quality time with my kids. I was hiding before, now I'm out all the time.
