Stephen G. Boyce, M.D., Director
Dr. Stephen G. Boyce of Dallas, Texas attended Texas A&M University, College Station, and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed his general surgery training at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Board Certified, American Board of Surgery, and Fellow, American College of Surgeons, Dr. Boyce began his practice in Knoxville in 1992. Dr. Boyce has greater than ten years experience performing Bariatric Surgery and is the medical director of bariatric services at Parkwest Hospital. |

K. Robert Williams, M.D., Surgeon
Dr. Williams, of Grundy, Virginia, received his medical degree from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville in 2000. He completed his residency in general surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and an additional one-year fellowship in bariatric surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Williams, who is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, began his practice at Parkwest Comprehensive Weight Loss Center in 2006. |

Sherril Boozer, MSN, APN, FNP-BC
Sherril Boozer received her Bachelors degree in Family Child Development and Early Childhood Education from Virginia Tech in 1992 and her Masters in Nursing from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1995. She is a registered nurse and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Sherril has practiced in Sevier, Roane, and Knox counties, since 1996, in family practice and sleep medicine. She is the clinical team leader for the medically supervised diet at the Covenant Weight Management Center.
As team leader of the clinicians, Sherril is instrumental in overseeing the development of a safe, individualized plan of care for each client. She and the other clinicians take into consideration each clients current state of health and work with that client to reach a higher, overall, level of health, that includes weight loss and fitness. Sherril works with the clients other physicians to supplement and support the care they already provide. |

Kayla Matrunick, MS, RD, LDN
Kayla Matrunick is a Registered Dietitian from Latrobe, Pennsylvania. She earned her B.S. in Nutrition from Penn State University (PSU), her Masters in Sports Psychology from the University of Tennessee, and practiced her clinical work at The Mayo Clinic. Kayla joins the Weight Management team from partnering Covenant facilities where she has worked with the Fort Sanders Fitness center in weight management and sports nutrition, the Diabetes Center, the Rehab for cardiac and pulmonary nutrition, youth nutrition/obesity educator, and other promotional Covenant events.
In addition, she spent seven years with NCAA Division I athletics as an athlete, coach, and nutrition counselor where she offered services for professional and Olympic athletes. Kayla's love for food is displayed through healthy cooking demos, personal catering, assistant director of PSU kids Cooking Camp, and wide variety corporate wellness events. |

Stacey Smith, MS, LWMC, Clinic Supervisor
Stacey Smith, of Germantown, Tennessee, received her bachelor's degree in Public Health from Cumberland College at Williamsburg, Kentucky in 2000 where she also played collegiate basketball for 4 years.
She completed her master's degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Memphis in 2003. Stacey, who is a certified Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), has experience working with overweight and obese teenage and adult patients with a variety of medical conditions including diabetes, hypertension, orthopedic issues, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue. Prior to joining working in weight management, she was a collegiate women's basketball and softball coach at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, IL as well as a Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation and the Director of the Fitness & Wellness Center at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville, AR. Stacey has also been published in both the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research in 2003 and the Journal of Applied Sports Psychology in 2005. |
